Principe Maurice
Born in Brianza by a noble Venetian-Neapolitan family, he finds its ideal performance dimension in the Carnival of Venice, since the beginning of the contemporary public editions of the event. The passionate attendance of the nightlife in the '80s led him to express himself artistically in the discos. In the ‘90s he became an icon thanks to the creation of the surreal character "Principe Maurice": he invented a new form of "theater night" made of theatrical atmosphere, sumptuous costumes and special contact lenses. His merit is that he never repeated a look in the thousands of appearances made since the beginning of his career.
Dj Maci
He was born in Venice, where he took his first steps on local radios, conducing successful programs that soon led him to be one of the most popular entertainers of the Venetian nights. He alternates live shows live with the recording. In December 2009 he released his new single titled "Every Sing", a house version remake of the famous "Dancing Queen” by Abba. The first collaboration with VM&E was for “Love 2008”, and his presence on the stage of Piazza San Marco was later confirmed for all the following editions of “Love” and of the Venice Carnival.
Cafè sconcerto
Café Sconcerto will celebrate their 20 years of performances in January 2010, and they decided to end the year in the city of Mestre, where they take their first steps. Hilarious sketches, characters, songs, comedy duets, parody, anachronisms, improvisation, political and social satire from their repertoire built over the years, and all this at a strong pace. A way to hit off in an ironic sense the world of Concert Cafè and Variety, revisited with inspiration, imagination, humor, ease and original inventions; an ideal bridge between the world of yesterday and the one closest to us.
Ska-J
The Ska j group plays jazz in the afro-Jamaican (Jazz-jamaica) style. The live sound of the band is mostly performed by voices, drums, bass, guitar, two saxophones and a trombone. Often there is a Hammond organ. They add to numerous appearances in local and national radios and televisions an intense live activity: more than 400 concerts in Italy and in Europe since the foundation of the group in 2002. A survey of MEI (Meeting of Independent Labels) has identified the track “Santamarta” as one of the eight most popular dialect songs in Italy in the last 20 years. At the end of 2009 they will present a live triple album.
